The four parts of the version number have the following meaning:
Major: unrecognisably different user experience
Minor: changes to schema or scripts (incompatible*)
Build: implementation changes to schema or scripts (compatible*)
Revision: content updates
*All interface changes lead to incompatibility, unless only parameters with default values are added. Schema changes are considered compatibel if they only involve the addition of attributes to entities.
